The Frula Folk Dance Society

The Frula Folk Dance Society was established in November 2001. By the end of April 2002, at a meeting of the Church-School Congregation Board, the society was received under the auspices of the St. Sava Congregation as an auxiliary church organization.

The society has 50 children divided into three groups: the Little Group with children between three and six years, the Middle Group between six and eleven years, and the Senior Group from eleven upward.

The site of the society is in the High school near Yonge and Steels Avenue, and where the rehearsals take place every Wednesday from 7-9 PM. School consists of religious education taught by Father Ljubomir Rajic, Serbian language classes, taught by Nada Milakara and folk dancing taught by Mile Peric.

Beside this school, there is Serbian School registered with the government that meets every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM in the classrooms of the Charles Best East Elementary School at 330 Wilmington Street, near Dufferin and Finch. Teachers Nada Milakara and Dubravka Vasic teach the classes.
